Highways and structures project comprising of the construction of a new motorway junction inclusive of 4no. slip roads approx. 150m long, a new 30m span steel beam – reinforced concrete deck motorway crossing bridge, water management through tunneling and a horse bridle path crossing through precast culvert sections.
Members of the team were in provision of the East of the scheme which comprised of managing the reinforced earthworks for two of the slip roads, the launching of 2no TBMs for 1m dia drainage pipes underneath the M49 which required substantial planning and monitoring of the M49. The lifting of the bridge beam, concrete decking and the construction of the reco wall, bridge pier, bearing pads and transition slab for the East.
